Burdock extract is obtained from the root of the plant which grows spontaneously in Europe, Asia and North America. It has large green leaves, the flowers are like small purplish thistles. The leaves of the plant are used but above all the root which, harvested before flowering, is cut transversely and lengthwise before subjecting it to drying.
