Hyaluronic Acid (SODIUM HYALURONATE) is a substance naturally present in our body, as a fundamental component of connective tissues. At the cutaneous level, its presence guarantees elasticity, softness, brightness and hydration to the skin of the face and body, and protects it from damage caused by external factors and physical stress. With increasing age the endogenous production of hyaluronic acid decreases, and this leads to the loss of water holding capacity, the progressive weakening of the skin and the consequent appearance of imperfections and gradually deeper wrinkles. From a chemical point of view, the reticular structure of hyaluronic acid is such as to make it capable of retaining large quantities of water, up to 1000 times its own weight, and of supplying hydration to the tissues of the human body; acts as a cushion capable of retaining moisture, allowing the skin to remain more elastic, toned, turgid and therefore younger. It also acts as a barrier against the penetration of viruses and bacteria and helps to soothe irritation and redness.
In the formulation 3 molecular weight hyaluronic acid is used. A concerted and broad-spectrum action for the well-being of the skin.
