Hyaluronic acid (SODIUM HYALURONATE) is a substance naturally present in our body, as a fundamental component of connective tissues. From a chemical point of view, the reticular structure of hyaluronic acid is such as to make it capable of retaining large quantities of water, up to 1000 times its own weight, and of supplying hydration to the tissues of the human body; it acts as a buffer capable of retaining humidity, allowing the skin to remain more elastic, toned, turgid and therefore younger. It also acts as a barrier against the penetration of viruses and bacteria and helps to soothe irritation and redness.
